Modern Times and the Future
After multiple wars and decades of research and technological growth, military aviation has now grown to powerful and breathtaking lengths that will continue to improve to greater heights. The United States Air Force and many other air forces have now replaced the fighters of old with improved fighters. The large air fleets that once existed have now been reduced to technologically advanced smaller groups of fighters. Weapons have now been replaced with precision long range missiles and bombs that serve various function of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and air-to-sea. Speed have become supersonic and will eventually grow into hyper sonic speeds. Altitude limits keep growing higher and higher to the surface of space. Stealth has now been emphasized and the ability to operate with radar spikes and hard interference. Countries remain in competition to build the best fighters, bombers, reconnaissance planes, and other sorts of aircraft that provide a tactical advantage. The new threat of terrorism has now brought more fighters to ground support roles, but the dog-fighting aspect of fighters will never change. The future is uncertain, but America will always continue to improve in its fighters, bombers, and reconnaissance craft that strengthen our military operations.
